This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
automated vacuum cleaner is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't want. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.
Its design is a step above the competition, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even managed to catch small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell if the update is actually working until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the ideal choice. These robots come with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not come with some of the luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option if you are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little missed corners and along walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the labeling of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is easy. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This feature isn't necessary for most people however it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and functionality are some of the top available however, it's also expensive.
It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and can be hidden when not in use. The station's most appealing feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do a really good job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do everything.
But if you want to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of alternatives available with a wide range of eufy models that cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive however it comes with more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, a Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's easy to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near an outlet for power and ample space for it to move, however.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting sleek black finishes and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.
The way that the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to make a picture of the immovable items that are in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and what it is unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it started.
The elegant G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and performs better on unfinished floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently and has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
